Description
- Experience working in an infant classroom setting.
- Strong understanding of infant developmental milestones.
- Knowledge of state licensing regulations and health/safety standards.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Dependable and professional.
- Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Education, Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Nursing, Healthcare, or a related field (preferred).
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and assess each child’s developmental progress.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and healthy classroom environment.
- Plan and implement developmentally appropriate learning experiences.
- Support emotional and social development through responsive caregiving.
- Feed, diaper, and comfort infants while maintaining nurturing interactions.
- Encourage language development through reading, music, descriptive language, and open-ended questions.
- Communicate frequently with children, naming objects and actions and modeling rich vocabulary.
- Build positive, professional relationships with families through regular updates.
- Collaborate with co-teachers and staff to ensure seamless classroom management.
- Ensure compliance with all state and local early childhood regulations.
- Recognize and respond to individual needs, including dietary or developmental considerations.
