What This Role Looks Like
- Provide hands-on veterinary technician support in exams, treatments, and procedures
- Assist with venipuncture, catheter placement, diagnostics, and anesthesia monitoring
- Support surgical and dental procedures
- Ensure high-quality patient care, monitoring, and treatment support
- Maintain accurate and timely medical record documentation
- Lead by example while actively working alongside technicians and assistants
- Provide real-time coaching and clinical guidance on the floor
- Support onboarding, training, and skill development of new team members
- Help elevate overall technician skillset and confidence
- Serve as a trusted resource for workflow questions and clinical support
- Help maintain smooth patient flow and clinical efficiency
- Assist in identifying and resolving workflow bottlenecks in real time
- Support doctors and leadership in maintaining daily hospital operations
- Contribute to a positive, accountable, and team-oriented culture
- Ensure consistent adherence to hospital protocols and standards
- Support client communication regarding treatments, procedures, and care plans
- Deliver compassionate, professional client interactions
- Assist in client education and discharge instructions
- Help maintain a calm, confident presence during busy or high-volume periods
What We’re Looking For
- 3+ years experience in a veterinary technician role
- Strong clinical skills in general practice veterinary medicine, including surgery and anesthesia protocols.
- Ability to work confidently in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
- Leadership mindset with desire to mentor and support others
- Ability to stay organized, adaptable, and proactive on the floor
Preferred Qualifications
- CVT strongly preferred but not required
- Prior experience in a leadership, senior technician, or training role desired
- Strong surgical, dental, or anesthesia support experience
- Passion for teaching, mentoring, and technician development
- Experience in AAHA-accredited or high-standard GP hospitals a plus
