Overview

As an Employment Services Representative at Amity Foundation, you'll assist unemployed participants in employment preparation, resume writing, interviewing skills, job search, and placement. Your responsibilities include maintaining participant placement rosters, collaborating with area employers to create job opportunities, informing employers about hiring incentives like Work Opportunity Tax Credit, preparing monthly employer rosters for CDCR, coordinating with Agents of Record before placements, and mentoring participants on appropriate disclosure of criminal history to employers. You'll also need knowledge of criminal record expungement processes and provide counseling and employability services. The position requires compassion, enthusiasm, and a desire to work with marginalized communities in a full-time, on-site role based in Vista, CA.

About the Position:

The Employment Services Representative assists unemployed participants in the areas of employment preparation, resume writing, interviewing skills, job search and placement. They will provide a variety of resources to support student (participant) transition into long-term sustainable work.
