Overview
The MRI Technologist (PRN) performs diagnostic MRI examinations under general supervision following established policies and procedures. Responsibilities include positioning patients for exams, monitoring patient conditions, interpreting physician instructions, selecting appropriate software options and imaging parameters, and ensuring all exams include accurate clinical information and high-quality images. The role requires screening patients for precautions or contraindications before entering the magnetic field and researching implants or devices. Technologists work as part of a team with radiologists and other staff, maintaining patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA guidelines. The position requires ARRT/ARMRIT certification, CPR/BLS certification, and the ability to lift up to 15 pounds. Work schedule includes Monday-Friday as needed and Saturday coverage (8am-1pm) as needed.
