- Research, creation of reports, correspondence generation, and appointment scheduling for the Division Chief/Fire Marshal.
- Scheduled and coordinates public education activities including station tours, care seat installation appointments, safety talks, and in-person appearances.
- Assist the Public Education Officer in delivering public education at events, safety town, and other events as determined by the Community Risk Reductions Officers and Fire Marshall.
- Support the Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) with personnel files, scheduling of special events, and other related functions.
- Ensure office coverage during normal business hours. Coordinates office and business communications.
- Assist with processing annual fire inspections and develops other reports as necessary. Scheduling and invoicing of the division's Fire Watch details, overtime, fire-watches, and other reimbursable processes.
- Invoicing and processing of annual fire inspections, re-inspections fees, and liens.
- Acts as liaison to City Clerk's Office, IT Department, and other departments as needed.
- All other duties as assigned by the Division Chief/Fire Marshal.
High school diploma/GED required. Two years of experience working in an administrative support position.
*An equivalent combination of training, and related experience will be considered in lieu of education requirement.
