At Pinterest, AI isn't just a feature, it's a powerful partner that augments our creativity and amplifies our impact, and we’re looking for candidates who are excited to be a part of that. To get a complete picture of your experience and abilities, we’ll explore your foundational skills and how you collaborate with AI.
Through our interview process, what matters most is that you can always explain your approach, showing us not just what you know, but how you think. You can read more about our AI interview philosophy and how we use AI in our recruiting process here.
Pinterest's Consumer Brand team is looking for a Strategy & Operations Lead to join our S&O Strategic Projects and Programs (SPP) team. You'll serve as the embedded operational partner for the Consumer Brand function, initiating and owning its most critical cross-functional strategic projects, designing and implementing planning cadences and leading governance and program delivery across the department. You'll work directly with senior marketing leadership to identify problems, frame decisions and make the function's highest-priority work land across brand campaigns, brand partnerships and brand health strategy.
What you'll do:
- Initiate and own Consumer Brand's most critical cross-functional strategic projects end-to-end: identifying the right problems to solve, framing decisions, aligning stakeholders and driving follow-through across brand campaign strategy, brand partnerships, brand architecture and measurement evolution
- Design, integrate and implement the Consumer Brand function's planning cadences (MBRs, QBRs, annual and campaign planning cycles): build inputs, facilitate sessions and synthesize outcomes into clear decisions and investment forecasts for headcount and budget
- Lead governance and program delivery across multiple functions within Consumer Brand, serving as the single source of truth for strategic context, headcount status and planning rationale
- Monitor metrics and milestones across interconnected initiatives and hold the working team accountable for outcomes, surfacing priority conflicts before they become escalations
- Use AI to accelerate synthesis, analysis and planning work by distilling brand research inputs, drafting decision frameworks and building planning materials faster, while maintaining judgment and accountability over final deliverables
- Partner with Integrated Marketing, Brand Partnerships, Brand Research, Growth Marketing and XFN teams (Product, Sales, Finance) to align on function priorities and move complex initiatives forward
- Experience collaborating with creative teams.
What we're looking for:
- 8+ years of experience in strategy, operations or a related field, with a track record of initiating and owning highly complex, cross-functional work independently.
- Experience working within or closely alongside a brand marketing or consumer marketing organization. You understand how campaigns, brand partnerships and brand health measurement connect to business outcomes and can hold that context in strategic conversations with senior leaders.
- Experience designing and implementing a function's strategic planning system, including mid-year and annual planning cycles and have partnered with business management teams on investment forecasts for headcount and budget.
- Ability to make high-quality decisions decisively, even in the absence of complete information. You know when to keep moving and you're willing to make the call even if it's unpopular.
- Demonstrated experience leading governance and program delivery across multiple functions, holding cross-functional working teams accountable for outcomes without direct authority.
- Experience mentoring or coaching peers in stakeholder management or strategic problem-solving, not just doing it yourself.
- Demonstrated experience using AI to accelerate analysis and planning work, with a clear approach to maintaining quality and accountability for final outcomes.
- Strong executive communication skills. You can distill complexity into crisp, actionable narratives for VP-level and above audiences, and you're comfortable saying the hard thing in the room.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Business, Marketing or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
