- Provide customer service to visitors, personnel, and members of the public while carrying out armed security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a government location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and communicating with appropriate personnel and law enforcement as needed.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
- Monitor access points and screen or verify authorized entry as directed by site procedures; report suspicious activity, hazards, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
- Prepare accurate reports and maintain required documentation for patrols, incidents, observations, and other security-related activities.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have at least 2 years of law enforcement, military police, or corrections experience.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- An armed guard card or license is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
