Team Manager - Equity Indices

The chosen Team Manager is to lead Equity Indices Team part of Third-Party Indices Content Operations within Securities data group. Primary responsibility leading the employee life cycle, operations, the daily maintenance, Service and projects.

Role Responsibilities

• Financial markets knowledge Understands financial markets, instruments and concepts and demonstrates hands-on knowledge of the organisation's industry and risks associated. Level 2
• Communication Communicates with clarity and precision, communicating sophisticated / technical information in a concise format that is audience appropriate. Level 3
• Mentoring Uses qualities and actions that focus on helping individuals improve performance by using probing questions in order to guide others toward improvement and learning through collaboration, positive leadership and strengths. Level 3
• People management Leads and manages people, holding responsibility for motivation, attraction, retention and performance management.​ Level 3
• Operational excellence Identifies opportunities to improve efficiency while providing detailed transactions, services and products, leads monetary assets and other resources to optimise cost efficiency. Level 3
• Business continuity Establishes business continuity within processes to maintain essential functioning at all times. ​ Level 3
• Training & mentoring Trains, develops and mentors colleagues in order to maximise their potential, develop their skills, and improve their performance.​ Level 3
• Time management Controls and structures use of time to most effectively accomplish work, projects and goals. Level 3
• Content knowledge and expertise Demonstrates understanding and expertise across multiple data sets and/or systems, financial/risk content and related supplier to customer to end workflow. Level 2
• Customer knowledge Demonstrates knowledge of customer's organization structure, business strategy and challenges, product/service offerings, key leaders and industry.​ Level 3
• Facilitation Leads cross functional teams to consensus on complex issues Level 2
• Stakeholder management Builds trusting relationships with internal and external stakeholders to understand their drivers and negotiate positive outcomes​. Level 2

Experience and Skills Required

• Bachelors and/or a Masters
• Over 4 years of overall work experience
• Ability to Lead, Mentor and Coach staff.
• Understanding of project management principles, methodologies and drive
• Confirmed experience on driving projects independently.
• Strong process orientation, ability to think E2E and craft pragmatic, scalable solutions to complex use cases.
• Track record of developing and leading strong customer relationships.
• Excellent skills in communication - oral and written
• Must have a consistent record of leading change, driving innovation, efficiency and simplification within Content Operations.
• Understanding of Equity Indices and underlying data
• Clear and demonstrated for customer service and excellence.
• Ability to get very detailed, while also being able to summarize at an executive level as needed

Good understanding of Products such as Workspace and Datastream
