RESPONSIBILITIES
As ESH Expert China:
- Supports and manages ESH processes and company initiatives for China sites
- Analyzes ESH performance metrics and develops plans for compliance and performance improvement together with global Head of ESHQ.
- Ensures monthly, quarterly, and annual ESH performance metrics are compiled and reported within specified period of time.
- Supports the sites in China in the preparation, organisation and execution of internal and external audits. Monitors the implementation and effectiveness of audit actions in due time.
- Provides guidance and training to the sites in all matters pertaining to environmental, health and safety performance in cooperation with the site ESHQ Managers.
- Facilitates communication with the sites in China to share ESHQ best practices and key learnings from variances, investigations, audits and management review.
- Ensures that Safety at Evonik is implemented on plant level at China sites to establish a uniform safety culture.
- Conducts Business Line, Division or Corporate ESHQ initiatives in collaboration with the global Head of ESHQ of the Business Line.
- Supports the Regional Head of the Business Line in all ESHQ and compliance matters.
As Admin. Assistant to Regional BL Head APAC:
- Prepare regional business performance report to Regional BL Head APAC. Support general admin things for Regional BL. Lead and organize KA team events.
- Provide support on KA tools (sharefolder, sharepoint, D365, IBP, etc.) for region.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree or above in a chemistry-related field.
- Experience in ESH related field is a plus
- Works without supervision when required on analyzing data trends for use in reports to help guide decision making.
- Supports business processes without supervision by understanding and effectively using standard office equipment and standard software packages, while providing technical guidance as needed.
- Works without supervision when required on acquiring, organizing, protecting and processing data to fulfill business objectives.
- Communicates with other people without requiring supervision when required on speaking in a clear, concise and compelling manner.
- Works without supervision when required on creating relevant, lucid and effective reports.
