A leading medical institution is seeking a Template Analyst to design, build, analyze, and maintain Epic scheduling templates, manage provider template requests, evaluate decision tree impacts, support clinician onboarding, and improve ambulatory patient access through effective scheduling optimization and template management.
Template Analyst Responsibilities:
- Design, build, analyze, test, implement, and maintain Epic scheduling templates for providers and ancillary services while managing incoming template change requests and ensuring compliance with organizational standards.
- Evaluate the impact of scheduling template changes on decision trees, workflows, clinical operations, and patient access while maintaining scheduling integrity across the organization.
- Analyze provider utilization reports to optimize template design, support ambulatory capacity management initiatives, and proactively identify and mitigate barriers affecting patient access and patient flow.
- Collaborate with clinicians, clinic administrators, IT teams, and operational stakeholders to support scheduling optimization, onboard providers, adapt workflows, and deliver high-quality customer service.
- Support clinical application maintenance by documenting specifications, troubleshooting scheduling issues, maintaining change control compliance, and contributing to projects that improve ambulatory scheduling processes.
Template Analyst Qualifications:
- Experience building and managing Epic Cadence scheduling templates.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience is preferred.
- Epic Cadence Certification is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of decision trees and their relationship to provider scheduling templates.
- Experience onboarding clinicians and supporting initiatives that improve patient access.
- Knowledge of Epic Cadence scheduling workflows, template management, clinical documentation processes, and ambulatory scheduling best practices.
- Strong analytical, organizational, communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills with the ability to independently manage projects of moderate scope.
Shift:
- Hybrid: 1-3 consecutive days, 2-4 times per year.
- 08:00 am to 5:00 pm PST.
