Description
The EHS Associate supports the development, implementation, and maintenance of environmental, health, and safety programs to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and promote a safe workplace. This role works closely with site leadership and employees to reduce risk, improve safety culture, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in implementing and maintaining EHS programs, policies, and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, DOT, and local safety regulations.
- Conduct safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments.
- Identify workplace hazards and recommend corrective actions.
- Support incident investigations and perform root cause analysis.
- Deliver safety training and promote employee awareness programs.
- Maintain EHS documentation, reports, and compliance records.
- Monitor safety performance metrics and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Assist with emergency preparedness and response planning.
- Partner with operations and leadership to integrate safety into daily processes.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of EHS or safety-related experience .
- Knowledge of OSHA and environmental regulations.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to conduct audits, training, and data analysis.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office or EHS management systems.
