About the Role
Responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities to ensure system enhancements and digital solutions meet business requirements and quality standards. Works closely with stakeholders to identify defects, mitigate risks, and support successful implementation.Job Responsibilities
- Develop clear and comprehensive User Acceptance Test (UAT) plans, test cases, and test scenarios for digital projects and system enhancements.
- Review business requirements and functional specifications to ensure test coverage and completeness.
- Liaise with stakeholders to ensure test environments, test data, and prerequisites are prepared prior to test execution.
- Execute UAT activities and validate system functionality against business requirements.
- Analyze test results and identify defects, gaps, and areas of risk.
- Log, track, and monitor defects through to resolution, working closely with project teams and developers.
- Perform regression testing to ensure defect fixes and enhancements do not impact existing functionalities.
- Provide regular updates on testing progress, test outcomes, risks, and issues to stakeholders.
- Facilitate and coordinate UAT sign-off by ensuring all critical functionalities have been tested and agreed acceptance criteria are met.
- Review and obtain stakeholder approval for UAT plans, test results, and deployment readiness.
- Prepare user guides, testing documentation, and training materials where required.
- Conduct end-user training and support users during implementation and post-deployment activities.
- Support continuous improvement of testing processes, methodologies, and documentation standards.
Minimum Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Information Systems, or related disciplines.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in software testing, quality assurance, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), or related roles.
- Proven experience in executing end-to-end UAT activities for system enhancements and digital projects.
- Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, test planning, test execution, and defect management processes.
- Experience creating UAT test plans, test cases, test scripts, and testing documentation.
- Familiarity with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and project delivery methodologies.
- Experience working in Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, or hybrid environments.
- Knowledge of defect tracking and collaboration tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, Confluence, or equivalent.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple testing activities and deliver within tight timelines.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Experience in the insurance, financial services, or banking industry will be an added advantage.
- Professional certifications in software testing (e.g., ISTQB) will be an added advantage.
