Content Engineer

About the Role

We are looking for a Content Engineer to own the final stage of an AI-powered content pipeline, transforming generated marketing content into polished, production-ready digital assets.

This role is ideal for someone with strong expertise in HTML/CSS, email development, and digital advertising who enjoys solving complex rendering challenges and building scalable content systems.

You will work closely with AI, product, and engineering teams to ensure every marketing asset is visually accurate, technically optimized, accessible, and ready for deployment across multiple channels.

Responsibilities

• Develop responsive, hand-coded HTML emails that render consistently across Outlook, Gmail, Apple Mail, Yahoo Mail, and mobile email clients.
• Build HTML5 display banners for platforms such as Google Ads, DV360, The Trade Desk, Amazon DSP, Yahoo, and other advertising networks.
• Transform AI-generated content into polished, production-ready marketing assets.
• Create reusable email templates, banner systems, and modular content components.
• Collaborate with engineering and product teams to improve and automate content generation workflows.
• Ensure all assets meet accessibility, branding, and compliance standards.
• Perform quality assurance testing across browsers, devices, email clients, and advertising platforms.
• Troubleshoot rendering inconsistencies and optimize asset performance.
• Maintain clean, scalable, and reusable code.

Required Qualifications

• Proven professional experience developing HTML emails and digital marketing assets.
• Expert-level knowledge of HTML and CSS.
• Strong understanding of responsive email development, including:
  • Table-based layouts
  • Inline CSS
  • Media queries
  • Hybrid/fluid responsive techniques
  • Outlook conditional comments (MSO)
  • VML backgrounds
• Experience building HTML5 display banners.
• Familiarity with Google Ads, DV360, and major DSP creative specifications.
• Experience working with templating systems such as MJML, Handlebars, Liquid, or similar.
• Proficiency with JavaScript for banner interactions and automation.
• Experience using Git for version control.
• Strong understanding of accessibility best practices.
• Ability to translate Figma designs into production-ready code.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to pixel-perfect execution.

Nice to Have

• Experience with React or Next.js.
• Familiarity with build tools such as Webpack, Gulp, npm scripts, or similar.
• Experience using email QA platforms such as Litmus or Email on Acid.
• Experience with Email Service Providers such as Iterable, Braze, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, or Marketo.
• Knowledge of Google Campaign Manager 360, Sizmek, Flashtalking, or Dynamic Creative Optimization (DCO).
• Experience working in healthcare, pharmaceutical, or other regulated industries.
