Accounts Receivable - Trade Specialist (Remote)

Postmedia Accelerate360 Canada is looking for an experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team! This will be a fully remote, full-time position (40hrs/week).

Objective:

The Account Receivable Specialist is responsible for the management of retail customers’ accounts, including monitoring cash deposits to terms, processing and reconciling payments, researching discrepancies and unpaid items, and responding to customer inquiries. The specialist is also responsible for reporting the account statuses to management; this includes risk escalations and operational concerns that affect payment.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Account Management

• Perform payment application tasks in an efficient and error free manner.
• Monitor payments for all customers to ensure customers are paying to agreed terms.
• Customer communication
• Expedient and consistent pursuit and escalation of past due items.
• Review all open items on an ongoing basis to identify problems.

Research Services

• Research discrepancy items following payment application.
• Prepare, track, and follow up on packages and portal submissions.
• Address all issues relating to discrepancies.
• Investigate and resolve payment related problems forwarded from Customer Service.
• Characterize and group identified problems by root cause.

Business Support

• Identify and contribute to solution of process problems with functional leadership.
• Track and report operational issues.
• Prepare week ending and month ending reporting for management to review.
• Seek efficiency in performance of tasks.
• Other duties as assigned.

Skill/Knowledge Requirements:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficient in MS Office
• SBT Accounts Receivable Experience
• Proficiency with MARC System (Computac)
• Strong verbal and written communication
• Macro development or usage experience is a plus
• Team-oriented

Key Performance Indicators (KPI's):

• Cycle time to address outstanding items
• Unapplied Payments
• Over terms items
• Bad Debt/write offs

Salary:

$45,000 - $53,000 commensurate with experience
