The Opportunity
A rare opportunity has arisen for an experienced Civil Construction Manager to join Fulton Hogan Marlborough’s contracting division, leading our construction team in the successful delivery of projects. Reporting directly to the Divisional Manager, Contracting, this is an exciting opportunity to make a real impact.
As Civil Construction Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day leadership of our high-performing projects team. If you are an experienced people leader, with a background in civil contracting we’d love to hear from you.

Role Accountabilities
- Leading a team to deliver the contract requirements effectively while fostering a positive, high performing culture with a strong focus on safety.
- Experience with RAMM is desirable, however, training will be provided where needed
- Able to build and maintain strong relationships with NZTA and other key stakeholders
- Understand KPI’s and benchmarks for budgets and productivity
- Work closely with your contract/project team to
- Ensure reports, claims and programmes are prepared and submitted correctly and in a timely manner
- Ensure forward planning, organising and ordering of contract subbies/ survey/ materials/ plant/ people
- Ensure staff are provided with leadership and guidance to maximise performance
What you’ll bring to the table
- BE or NZCE or significant industry experience (Diploma in engineering or relevant industry)
- Minimum 5 years relevant experience in roading and 3 waters construction
- Experience managing and developing teams
- Safety related certification
- Current class 1 driver’s licence
