Description
We're looking for a data-driven, detail-obsessed Customer Operations Analyst to support our Sales and Customer Success Managers through data aggregation, analysis, and process optimization. You'll be the go-to resource for Salesforce navigation, CPQ quoting, and data hygiene — helping customer-facing teams move faster and serve customers better. This role sits at the intersection of Sales, Customer Success, Finance, Legal, and Operations, and is ideal for someone who's eager to learn fast, take ownership, use AI to work smarter, and turn messy processes into clean, scalable ones.
Bird's Eye View of Your Role
- Support Sales and Customer Success Managers in customer management through data aggregation, analysis, and data cleansing — via system enhancements, process automation, or manual delivery
- Respond to inquiries from cross-functional teams regarding customer data
- Provide guidance on quote and contract processes to customer-facing teams — deal structuring, standard terms, system utilization, and data hygiene
- Help customer-facing teams build Opportunities and Quotes in Salesforce CPQ, ensuring timely and accurate support
- Work closely with Finance, Legal, and Operations to optimize contract terms and close deals
- Use AI tools to streamline data analysis, automate repetitive tasks, and improve operational efficiency
- Provide context and analysis to support regular business cadence and reporting
- Deliver ad-hoc data analysis for specific initiatives (billing, implementation accuracy, customer utilization, customer inquiries, etc.)
- Support the implementation of changes to Sales and CSM coverage and capacity
- Help deliver tools, systems, and process training for customer-facing teams
- Assist in the upkeep and improvement of Salesforce, CPQ, and other tools/processes requiring refinement
- Partner with the Operations team on customer inventory reconciliation
- Flag process/tool inefficiencies, propose improvements, and follow through with the right teams until resolved
Must-Have Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in an Operations role, preferably at a technology company
- Demonstrated proficiency navigating Salesforce (SFDC) — daily tasks, dashboards, and reports
- Hands-on experience with CPQ quoting in Salesforce
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, specifically Excel and PowerPoint
- Working knowledge of AI tools for operations — comfortable using AI to streamline tasks, analyze data, or improve workflows
- Data-first thinking with impeccable attention to detail
- Strong analytical skills — demonstrated ability to analyze customer data to identify best practices and trends
- A passion for process optimization and dedication to driving continuous improvement
- Proactive, ownership-driven mindset — takes initiative and follows issues through to resolution
- Experience creating SOPs — able to document processes clearly for cross-functional teams
- BE/BTech degree, preferably with a technology or business focus
Good to Have
- A customer-first mindset and passion for supporting Sales and Customer Success teams
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment — knowing when to prioritize and when to pivot
- Ability to work autonomously while knowing when to ask for support
- Excitement for working in a learning and growth culture
- Effective problem-solving skills with strong ownership behavior
- Demonstrated ability to build strong working relationships across all levels of the organization
What You'll Bring
You're eager and nimble in supporting Sales and CSM teams on Salesforce management, and you work well with cross-functional teams to keep processes flowing smoothly and customer issues resolved fast. You bring logical analysis, sharp attention to detail, and clear communication to every case you touch.
Performance Objectives
- Learn Salesforce processes and parallel workflows quickly, with minimal guidance
- Support Sales and CSM teams consistently, while maintaining system hygiene and process adherence at all times
- Assist the Operations Manager with data analysis and data cleansing assignments/projects
- Train and support Sales and CSM teams when new processes or tools are introduced
- Flag process/tool inefficiencies, suggest improvements, and drive bug fixes without delay
- Support cross-functional teams during the Last Mile Services (LMS) lifecycle
- Collaborate with the Operations team on customer inventory reconciliation
Ramp-Up Milestones
- By end of Month 1: Conversant with core processes and tools in use
- By end of Month 3: Able to independently support quote approvals, billing issues, system issues, and LMS quotes
- By end of Month 6: Able to analyze Salesforce reports and contribute to process improvement initiatives
