Job Description:

SUMMARY: Responsible for keeping assigned grounds and outside areas clean and free of debris, presenting the Company’s customers a safe and pleasant sight. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: Interacts effectively with the public and Team Members. Perform excellent customer service at all time. Responsible for removing all trash from assigned areas. Maintains all trash receptacle areas, ensuring all trash is in and not strewn around the area. Maintains lawn areas by mowing, edging and keeping lawns free of weeds. Operates all equipment and uses chemicals in accordance with manufacturer’s instructions and in a safe manner. Ensures all plant beds are free of weeds, dead flowers, etc. Maintain & repair irrigation sprinklers & pipes. Maintains appropriate fertilizer and water levels on grass, shrubs, plants, etc. Must have valid California drivers license. Maintains all lawn equipment; ensures cleanliness and working conditions. Any reasonable request made by management. QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High School diploma or GED Preferred ground maintenance experience preferred. LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers and other Team Members of the organization. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance. REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out simple one or two step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
