Union Tank Car Company is seeking an experienced Director, Human Resources, to serve as a key business partner to operational leadership and help shape the future of our workforce. This is a highly visible leadership role that combines HR leadership, labor relations expertise, talent development, and organizational effectiveness across multiple locations.

What You'll Do

✅ Serve as the senior HR leader supporting business operations and leadership teams

✅ Partner with leaders on talent acquisition, workforce planning, succession planning, and organizational development

✅ Coach and influence leaders at all levels on employee relations, performance management, and talent strategies

✅ Drive transformational change initiatives and continuous improvement efforts

✅ Develop and implement leadership development and employee engagement programs

✅ Support annual HR processes including performance management, compensation planning, and talent reviews

✅ Lead, mentor, and develop HR team members while driving high-impact business outcomes

✅ Lead employee and labor relations strategies, including collective bargaining agreement administration and dispute resolution

What We're Looking For

✔ Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field

✔ 8+ years of progressive HR leadership experience

✔ Strong background as an HR Business Partner and people leader

✔ Exceptional coaching, employee relations, and organizational development skills

✔ Ability to influence and build relationships across all levels of the organization

✔ Experience in manufacturing, industrial, repair, transportation, or related environments preferred

✔ HR certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP) is a plus

✔ Experience supporting unionized workforces and administering collective bargaining agreements will be helpful

Pay Range:

170,100.00 - 207,900.00
