Job Description:

Job Purpose

Operate and monitor the Grease Manufacturing Plant (GMP) and supporting utilities to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient production. Support daily manufacturing activities, maintain product quality standards, and contribute to plant safety and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate and monitor plant processes via Plant Control System (PCS) and perform field operations.

  • Execute grease manufacturing and filling activities in accordance with production schedules, quality standards, and HSSE requirements.

  • Monitor and operate plant utilities, including boilers, air compressors, thermal oil, cooling water, and hot water systems.

  • Perform routine inspections, first-line troubleshooting, and basic maintenance activities to ensure equipment reliability.

  • Conduct product sampling, quality checks, and process adjustments to maintain specification requirements.

  • Manage raw material handling, additive unloading, inventory checks, and production documentation.

  • Support Permit-to-Work (PTW), LOTO, safety programs, toolbox meetings, and incident reporting.

  • Coordinate with maintenance, laboratory, and operations teams to ensure smooth plant performance.

  • Provide guidance to operators and contractors and serve as acting supervisor when required.

Requirements

  • ITE Higher Nitec or equivalent qualification in Engineering or a related discipline.

  • Experience in process plant, manufacturing, chemical, petrochemical, lubricant, or refinery operations is preferred.

  • Familiarity with Plant Control Systems (PCS/DCS), process equipment, and troubleshooting.

  • Knowledge of PTW systems and safe work practices.

  • Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills.

  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

  • Experience with SAP/GSAP and grease manufacturing processes is an advantage.

  • Steam Attendant Class 2 certification is preferred.
