POSITION TITLE & DESCRIPTION
The Warehouse Manager is responsible for leading, developing and coaching a team of (8-14) warehouse, logistics, and tool room professionals. This role is responsible for overseeing the storage, inventory, and logistics of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and controls equipment and components. This position is also responsible for storage, inventory and disposition of tools, PPE, and MRO. This role will develop and continuously improve warehouse processes, inventory control, fleet stock management, and material fulfillment to ensure technicians have the right material at the right time.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

· Warehouse Operations
· Hire, train, coach, and develop personnel ensuring safe and efficient operations at multiple locations.
· Coordinate inbound deliveries, outbound shipments, and transportation to service locations.
· Manage all daily activities including receiving (physical and virtual), stocking, picking, staging, and shipping.
· Develop and enforce warehouse policies, procedures, and best practices.
· Inventory Management
· Develop, maintain, manage and periodically inventory truck stock for each trade and technician classification.
· Create gang box and project inventory standards.
· Monitor material usage trends and recommend stocking adjustments.
· Maintain accurate inventory levels for MRO, tools, PPE and consumables.
· Establish minimum, maximum, and reorder points for warehouse & tool room stock.
· Manage warranty returns, RMA, RGA, and repair tracking.
· Process Development
· Develop, document, communicate and train warehouse SOPs & workflows.
· Identify opportunities to improve technician productivity through warehouse efficiency.
· Develop receiving, stocking, repair, and replenishment strategies.
· Lead continuous improvement efforts focused on cost reduction and spend allocation.
· Leadership
· Recruit, onboard, train, coach, mentor and develop warehouse, logistics, and tool room personnel.
· Establish and monitor performance expectations, KPIs, and accountability metrics.
· Conduct periodic performance evaluations and ongoing development.
· Vendor & 3PL
· Coordinate with suppliers regarding deliveries, returns, shortages, and vendor-managed inventory.
· Monitor and/or coordinate offsite storage stock levels, invoice accuracy, delivery and pickup requirements.
Requirements
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
· 6+ years of warehouse, inventory, and logistics management.
· Experience implementing warehouse policy & processes.
· Experience managing warehouse personnel.
· Proficiency with ERP, inventory management, and MS Office.
· Excellent organizational and communication abilities.
· Collaborates effectively across departments and seeks input from field personnel, vendors, and internal stakeholders to improve warehouse operations.
Preferred:
· Experience supporting HVAC, mechanical, construction, plumbing, electrical, or service operations.
Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
This role requires spending a significant amount of time on your feet in a warehouse environment. You'll regularly walk the warehouse, inspect inventory, and move throughout the facility to support daily operations. The position involves occasional lifting and carrying of materials weighing up to 50 pounds, as well as bending, reaching, stooping, kneeling, and climbing ladders when needed. You'll also use a computer and handheld devices for inventory management and reporting and may operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts or pallet jacks if certified. The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and in varying temperatures is important.
