If you bring a strong work ethic, value collaboration, and are motivated by a mission that strengthens families and transforms communities, this is an opportunity to make a lasting impact.

At CPC, we go beyond the classroom. Our integrated approach includes Family Coaches, Positive Behavior Intervention Specialists, Instructional Support, and Health & Nutrition Education experts—all working together to create a nurturing, inclusive, and impactful learning experience for children and families. Through clear boundaries, effective behavior strategies, and play-based learning, we ensure every child can thrive.

  • Positive Learning Environment: Create a safe, welcoming, and culturally responsive classroom that encourages respect, curiosity, and active engagement.
  • Collaborative Teaching: Partner with families and colleagues to plan meaningful learning experiences that build language, problem-solving, and social-emotional skills.
  • Structured & Engaging Instruction: Maintain a consistent daily routine that includes interactive group activities, music, outdoor learning, and smooth transitions.
  • Intentional Preparation: Organize materials and adapt learning environments to meet the diverse needs of individual children and groups.
  • Family Partnership: Strengthen family engagement through conferences, home visits, education activities, and shared goal-setting for children's success.
  • Assessment & Support: Use assessment tools to track development, identify needs, and collaborate with families and staff to provide appropriate support.
  • Accurate Documentation: Maintain timely and compliant lesson plans, observations, and child records.
  • Whole-Child Approach: Integrate health, nutrition, family services, and social-emotional learning into daily classroom experiences.
  • Health & Safety Focus: Conduct routine health checks and promptly report concerns to ensure child well-being and protection.
  • Leadership & Mentorship: Support and guide assistant teachers while modeling professionalism, flexibility, accountability, and excellence in early childhood education.

Key Competencies:

  • Communication: Listens for understanding and meaning; speaks and writes effectively.
  • Relationships: Builds rapport and relates well to others.
  • Inclusion: Works effectively with people of different backgrounds, abilities, opinions and perceptions.
  • Community Focus: Demonstrates a desire to serve others and fulfill the needs of CPC participants.
  • Influence: Seeks first to understand the other person’s point of view and remains calm in challenging situations.
  • Quality Results: Strives to meet or exceed goals; delivers a high- value experience for children and families.

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education, Child and Family Studies, or Elementary Education, plus at least one year of experience working with preschool children. An associate degree in these fields may be considered.
  • Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals in English. Bilingual skills in Spanish, Haitian-Creole, or Arabic are desirable.
