Step beyond the classroom and apply your technical knowledge in the real world. Verdantas is seeking a driven environmental intern for the Summer 2027 Pave the Way Program at our Wilmington, Delaware location.
We’re looking for a talented and inquisitive intern who’s eager to apply their skills in a real-world setting and learn from experienced professionals. This internship offers hands-on exposure to real-world environmental consulting projects that make a tangible impact, along with mentorship from a collaborative team that values innovation and curiosity. You’ll gain practical experience in problem-solving, design, and development, while building a strong foundation for your future career in the natural science field.

What You’ll Do:
Assist with fieldwork such as sampling various media, conducting site inspections, and supporting field engineers, geologists, and scientists.
Research, collect, and enter data; apply technical principles to help interpret and analyze environmental data sets.
Assist in preparing environmental investigation designs, work plans, and conceptual site models.
Perform preliminary human health and ecological risk calculations and modeling to support project evaluations.
Assist with environmental assessments to identify site conditions, potential impacts, and compliance needs.
Prepare technical reports that summarize methods, findings, and recommendations.
Travel as required to support field activities and project needs.
What You’ll Bring:
Junior or Senior pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science or Geology
Relevant courses related to principles of environmental science, geology, or similar
Proficient in MS Office products
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Able to conduct some fieldwork with occasional heavy lifting
Must be able to write effectively and articulate outcomes to clients and team members
Must have a valid driver’s license
Internship or coop experience
Experience in ArcGIS and AutoCAD preferred
40-hour HAZWOPER training preferred
Affiliation and/or certifications with professional associations and networking capabilities
Salary Range:
$21.00 - $22.00
