Headwaters Ice Rink Lead Attendant - Seasonal (Riverfront)

Seasonal Riverfront – a 25–40 hours/week | Evenings, weekends, and holidays required

What You'll Do

Lead daily operations at the Headwaters Ice Rink, ensuring a safe, welcoming, and well-run experience for guests, staff, and the community. You'll oversee staff, programs, finances, and facility operations while serving as the on-site leader throughout the season.

Key Responsibilities

• Open, close, and secure the facility while overseeing daily rink operations
• Hire, train, schedule, supervise, and develop 15–20 seasonal staff and volunteers
• Manage admissions, cash handling, deposits, inventory, and financial reporting
• Enforce safety rules, resolve guest concerns, and ensure high-quality customer service
• Plan, staff, and support programs, events, concessions, and skate sessions

Supervisory Responsibilities

• Provides direct supervision to approximately 15–20 seasonal employees

What You Bring – Education & Experience

• High school diploma or GED
• One to three years of related leadership, recreation, or customer service experience
• Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills

Preferred Certifications

• First Aid and CPR certification (American Heart Association required within two weeks of hire)
• Valid Indiana Driver's License (required if operating a City vehicle)

Technical Skills & Knowledge

• Experience with scheduling, training, and staff supervision
• Cash handling, reporting, and inventory management skills
• Ability to sharpen rental skates and assist with ice maintenance operations
• Comfort coordinating programs, concessions, and public-facing operations
• Ability to assist with marketing materials and ensure accurate public information
• Drives Zamboni or ability to learn how to drive a Zamboni
• Resurfaces ice as required
