About The Role
As our Senior Manager, Product, you’ll have responsibility for two equally important parts of our product world: keeping our existing products well-managed, competitive and compliant, and leading approved product changes from business case through to implementation.
You'll love this job if
- You find superannuation opaque and frustrating, if you had the chance to revolutionise the industry to be better for people, you would
- You love sharing your ideas and seeing what happens. At this scale-up, you're not just a small fish in a big pond. Your contributions have a direct influence on our impact and how we work
- You like to be kept on your toes - change is inevitable here. You like to tackle new challenges, and maybe even discover talents you never knew you had
- You enjoy the combination of strategy and execution. You can zoom out to understand where a product needs to go, then zoom back in to make sure the details, governance and delivery stack up
- You’re comfortable navigating complexity and regulation without losing sight of the people our products exist to serve
- You thrive at pace, comfortable juggling multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment without losing your composure or attention to detail
- You get energy from bringing different teams together, creating clarity and getting things moving – even when you don’t have direct authority over everyone involved
- You’re a thoughtful people leader who enjoys helping others grow, while setting clear expectations and maintaining a high bar for quality
We're looking for someone who
- Believes in Future Group’s mission and has a passion for moving Australia’s money out of fossil-fuels and into renewable energy
- Believes in using the power of money to build a sustainable and equitable world
- Brings 7+ years’ experience in financial services, including meaningful experience in superannuation product management across accumulation and retirement
- Is a strong all-rounder, with substantive experience spanning insurance, investments and retirement product management, and is comfortable moving fluidly across all three
- Has demonstrated experience leading end-to-end product change in a regulated environment, from developing the business case through to implementation
- Has strong working knowledge of the Australian superannuation regulatory environment, including APRA and ASIC obligations, DDO and SPS 515
- Can develop clear, commercially sound business cases and product documentation for executive or trustee decision-making
- Has experience leading or managing a small team and is motivated by developing great product people
- Is a clear communicator who can make complex product and regulatory concepts understandable to different audiences
- Brings sound judgement, commercial awareness and a structured approach to product governance, documentation and delivery
- Is RG 146 compliant or equivalent and holds a bachelor’s degree in Business, Commerce, Finance, Law or a related discipline (desirable)
- Experience with APRA product reporting and regulatory returns, member outcomes assessments under SPS 515, and DDO obligations including TMD preparation and review
- Experience with competitor benchmarking, APRA heatmaps and the Your Future Your Super performance test
- Experience reviewing or contributing to disclosure documentation such as PDSs, SENs and TMDs
- Experience with Successor Fund Transfers, trustee transition programs or similarly complex product transitions
- Experience working with executive and trustee governance forums
- A postgraduate qualification such as an MBA or Finance qualification, or professional certification such as CA, CPA or FINSIA
Why would you enjoy working at Future Group?
- A purpose-driven organisation - spend your days working on making this world a better place! The more we grow, the bigger the impact we are making on climate change and inequality
- A B Corp organisation that cares about how it behaves inside and out
- AFR's Best Place to Work 2026! Proud winners of TWO awards: Best Medium Organisation, and our industry category of Banking, Superannuation and Financial Services (an award we also won in 2022!)
- Flexibility to fit work into your life (not your life around our work). School drop-offs/pick-ups and lunch-time gym sessions are a thing here
- The choice to work from home, from one of our co-working spaces, from anywhere within Australia or even from overseas (for a short period of time)
- The potential to own a piece of the Future Group pie with our unique Employee Share Ownership Program (with some fineprint)
- Fun company-wide events
- Progressive, people-focused policies and benefits including Menstrual and Menopausal Leave, Public holidays swaps, Cultural Leave, Self Care Leave and Gender Affirmation Guidelines and Leave
- We offer employee network groups for people from diverse backgrounds: SuperGenders for cisgender women, trans men and women and non-binary folks; SuperGlobal for culturally diverse folks; and SuperPride for LGBTQIA+ folks. The groups are a safe, supportive space for people to share experiences and ideas
- An inclusive parental leave package, with 20 weeks’ paid parental leave for birthing and non-birthing parents of all genders
- A laptop you can use to work remotely plus an allowance to make your working from home setup comfortable
- Other perks such as access to our Employee Assistance Program (EAP), the ability to purchase leave, novated leasing arrangements for electric vehicles, and a few more to find out!
