Are you a skilled culinary professional ready to lead diverse sections in an iconic kitchen? At the Grand Hotel Kempinski Riga, we are looking for a passionate Chef de Partie to join our culinary team. If you excel under pressure, love gastronomy, and are eager to refine your skills alongside top chefs, this role is for you.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage your station: Take full ownership of your assigned kitchen section, directing daily preparation, organization, and service execution to the highest standard.
- Deliver perfection: Prepare, cook, and plate dishes according to 5-star luxury standards, ensuring strict consistency, presentation, and flavor.
- Guide and mentor: Direct and support Commis Chefs, Demi Chefs, and Stewards, fostering a collaborative learning environment and upholding kitchen standards.
- Maintain quality & safety: Ensure your station strictly adheres to HACCP, food safety guidelines, cleanliness, and portion control.
Competencies:
- Completed culinary training and/or education.
- Passion for cooking.
- Minimum of 1 year of professional experience in a comparable position within hospitality or an upscale restaurant.
- Outstanding commitment to hygiene and HACCP.
- Self-starting, responsible, and committed way of working with a high sense of ownership.
- Open and engaging personality with an excellent eye for detail.
- Team-oriented working style.
- Good knowledge of English; knowledge of Latvian is an advantage.
- EU work eligibility (EU passport or an existing Latvian work visa).
