Essential Functions
Supervise daily production activities to ensure achievement of safety, quality, delivery, and productivity targets.
Execute production schedules as directed by the Production Superintendent.
Monitor workflow, staffing levels, and equipment utilization to maintain operational efficiency.
Ensure compliance with safety standards and promote a culture of accountability and safe work practices.
Maintain quality standards by monitoring production output and addressing defects or process deviations.
Identify production issues and escalate concerns to the Production Superintendent as needed.
Support continuous improvement initiatives, including waste reduction, process improvements, and efficiency gains.
Coordinate with Planning, Quality, Engineering, and Maintenance to resolve operational challenges.
Train, coach, and develop hourly employees to improve performance and engagement.
Manage attendance, timekeeping, job assignments, and shift coverage.
Conduct performance discussions and provide input on disciplinary actions and employee development.
Maintain accurate production reports and documentation.
Ensure policies and procedures are consistently enforced.
Job Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Direct supervision of hourly production employees.
Assign daily work tasks and monitor team performance.
Provide performance feedback and development recommendations to the Production Superintendent.
Education and Experience
High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor’s degree is a plus.
Minimum of three (3) years of manufacturing experience required.
Prior supervisory experience in a high-volume, high-mix manufacturing environment preferred.
Working knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
Experience with production reporting systems (SAP preferred).
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
