Manager, Investment Compliance – Fidante
Help Shape the Future Investment Compliance Environment at Fidante
Fidante is entering a significant new chapter, with the implementation of Charles River and State Street Alpha reshaping how investment teams, operations and service providers work together.
As part of this transformation, we're building the team that will support, evolve and ultimately own the new operating environment long after implementation is complete.
This is an opportunity to join at a pivotal time, influence how investment compliance operates in the future and work closely with stakeholders across a sophisticated funds management business.
About the role
As Manager, Investment Compliance, you'll lead investment compliance oversight and reporting across a diverse range of portfolios and investment strategies, ensuring activities remain aligned to client mandates, regulatory obligations and internal governance requirements.
Working closely with Portfolio Managers, Investment Operations, Company Secretariat and external service providers, you'll provide practical compliance guidance while helping build a robust and scalable compliance and reporting framework for the future.
Key responsibilities
Oversee pre- and post-trade compliance monitoring activities
Manage compliance breaches, incidents and remediation activities
Act as the subject matter expert for investment compliance rules and monitoring requirements
Translate mandates and investment guidelines into effective compliance monitoring rules
Oversee compliance rule governance, testing and ongoing effectiveness within Charles River
Manage relationships with State Street and other service providers
Support onboarding of new clients, investment mandates and products
Carry out substantial shareholder monitoring and support disclosure obligations
Deliver reporting and insights to stakeholders, committees and governance forums
What we're looking for
We're looking for someone with deep investment compliance experience who can combine strong technical expertise with sound judgement and the ability to influence stakeholders across a complex funds management environment.
You'll bring:
Significant investment compliance experience gained within funds management, asset management, investment risk or a closely related environment
Strong working knowledge of Charles River and investment compliance monitoring systems, including compliance rule governance and oversight
Experience interpreting investment mandates, client guidelines and regulatory obligations and translating them into practical compliance frameworks
Strong investment compliance and governance expertise, including breach management, monitoring programmes and control oversight
Experience working with outsourced service providers and operating models, ideally within an investment management environment
The ability to build credibility and influence Portfolio Managers, Investment Operations and other key stakeholders
Strong judgement, analytical capability and a practical approach to managing compliance risk
Exceptional written communication, reporting and stakeholder engagement skills
Why join?
This is an opportunity to do more than operate an existing framework. You'll help shape how investment compliance is delivered in a newly established operating environment while working alongside experienced investment professionals across the Fidante business
