Under the direction of the primary care operations team, the Primary Care Nurse works directly with Mercy Primary Care Providers to provide safe, timely, effective, efficient, equitable, patient-centered care in a systematic way. The Primary Care Nurse will partner with patients, providers, and other members of the clinical care team to drive quality outcomes for an attributed panel. Duties and responsibilities will be performed in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.Position Details:
Mercy Clinic Primary Care Float Pool Nurse (RN/LPN)
Primary Location: Mercy Clinic Primary Care - 901 Patients First Drive, Suite 3800, Washington, MO 63090
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM
No nights, weekends, or holidays!
**Must complete three months of on-site training prior to transitioning to a hybrid work-from-home schedule. After training, this role follows a 50/50 hybrid model, with full-time (1.0 FTE) co-workers expected to work on-site five days per pay period. Must also be available to attend monthly on-site clinic meetings.**
About the Role
Join Mercy's Primary Care Float Pool and enjoy the variety of supporting multiple Primary Care clinics while building relationships across teams and communities. This role is perfect for a nurse who enjoys flexibility, collaboration, and adapting to new environments while delivering exceptional patient care. As a Float Pool Nurse, you'll provide clinical support across multiple Primary Care locations, assisting with patient care, triage, care coordination, documentation, patient education, and other nursing responsibilities as needed.
Highly Preferred Skills:
Proficiency with Epic EMR system.
Timely and thorough patient triage skills.
Computer competency (most of this position will be computer work).
Excellent time management and prioritization.
Adaptability in a new and changing environment.
LPN Qualifications:
Education: Diploma in Practical Nursing.
Licensure: Active LPN license.
Experience: 2-3 years of experience preferred.
RN Qualifications:
Education: Associate of Applied Science in Registered Nursing, Graduation from registered nursing program, bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN), OR 4 years of commensurate experience in lieu of the bachelor’s degree.
Licensure: Active RN license.
Experience: 2-3 years of experience preferred.
