Description
You'll be the first GTM intern hire at TraceRoot — turning early developer love into a repeatable growth engine. This is not a marketing-ops job; it's a build-and-own PLG role. You'll build the machine behind our growth: the data pipeline, the outbound engine, and the source of truth the whole company runs on.
We move fast, debate hard, and execute even harder — shipping weekly and iterating live with users. You'll work in person with me at least 3 days a week, whiteboarding and building together. Some days you're shipping a content play, some days wiring up an outbound sequence, some days running a hackathon with me. If you love building fast, owning outcomes over tasks, and seeing your work move real numbers within days, you'll fit right in.
You won't own all of it in one summer — you'll pick a bottleneck with me and own that metric end-to-end. This is a paid internship with a path into our Founding GTM Engineer role.
What You’ll Do
- Own our PLG motion: instrument the funnel end-to-end in PostHog, enrich every signup, build the dashboards we treat as the source of truth, and double down on what moves signups
- Build the outbound engine: Clay, n8n, and enrichment waterfalls to find teams building agents, surface champions inside companies already using us, and automate personalized outreach
- Grow where developers hang out: LinkedIn, Reddit, and X/Twitter, plus SEO and GEO (getting TraceRoot cited by ChatGPT / Perplexity / Claude). Ship content and comparison pages, and instrument what converts
- Run developer marketing: launches, dev-influencer collabs, and hackathons, measured in signups flowing in
- Turn wins into playbooks: find the bottleneck, wire up the automation that removes it, and make every winning play repeatable
Requirements
- Technical enough to build the machine: you write real scripts in Python / TypeScript / SQL, wire APIs together, and are dangerous with Clay, n8n, and Claude Code
- PLG instinct: you've seen a great product-led growth motion up close, or you've been obsessively reverse-engineering how the best dev-tool companies grow
- Distribution-obsessed: you've built an outbound system, a landing page, or a content play that actually converted — and you get a genuine kick out of it
- Strong sense of ownership: you own outcomes, not tasks, and make things happen with limited resources
- Bias for action: you move fast, make pragmatic decisions, and thrive in ambiguity without waiting for a roadmap
Preferred Experience
- DevRel / dev-tool marketing: you've done developer relations, developer-tools marketing, or GTM at a dev-tool / AI-infra company
- Modern GTM stack: you live in PostHog and are fluent with Clay, n8n, and enrichment waterfalls
- Early-stage / community: you've worked at an early-stage startup (or founded one), or you're active in the agent-building community
To Apply
Send two things:
- Two sentences on the first experiment you'd run to get more agent-building teams onto TraceRoot.
- A link to something you built — a repo, a script, a scraper, a landing page, a Discord bot, an outreach system. It does not need to be a growth project and it does not need to be impressive; we just want to see you ship.
