Your Role as Clinical Nurse Facilitator
Join Hummingbird House as a Clinical Nurse Facilitator and play a key role in supporting Queensland families through a unique and compassionate service. Working within a dedicated multidisciplinary team, you will provide hands-on clinical education, training, and support to nurses and personal care workers, helping to build capability and deliver exceptional care. This role combines strong clinical leadership with direct engagement alongside guests, families, and staff to foster excellence in practice and enhance care outcomes.
Key responsibilities include:
Delivering hands-on clinical education, training and support to nurses, personal care workers, students and volunteers.
Leading staff induction programs and coordinate mandatory clinical training, assessments and documentation.
Managing workloads effectively, including appropriate delegation, supervision and support of student nurses.
Developing and delivering education programs that address identified learning needs and enhance clinical practice.
Maintaining high standards of care by conducting clinical audits, overseeing clinical portfolios and supporting quality improvement initiatives.
Contributing to the development and implementation of evidence-based services that meet the needs of children, families and carers.
Collaborating with leaders and multidisciplinary teams on quality, accreditation, benchmarking, audit activities and incident management.
Providing leadership support through participation in the on-call roster and Nurse Unit Manager leave coverage, while promoting reflective practice and continuous professional development.
This is a part-time position consisting of 16 hours per week.

What We’re Looking For
Current AHPRA Nursing Registration and qualifications.
Minimum 5 years’ post-registration nursing experience, supported by a postgraduate qualification in a relevant field such as palliative care, paediatrics, critical care, community nursing, midwifery or education.
Ability to make sound clinical and leadership decisions, working autonomously within scope of practice.
Strong professional and therapeutic relationships skills to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams and with external service providers.
Essential Requirements
Proof of COVID-19 vaccination status (or as required by legislation and WMQ policy)
Relevant probity checks required by legislation and WMQ Limited policy.
Current Driver’s Licence and willingness to travel for work
