Description
Reports to: SVP – Human Resources
Engages with: All Teams at all sites, more specifically HR, Manager-Product Management, Director-Operational Engineering, Director-Project Engineering, Director-Tech Services and PM, Manager-PM, Director-Sales Operations, EHS
Primary Responsibility: The Corporate Trainer is responsible for designing and developing technical and professional training content including, equipment and mechanically-oriented instruction that strengthens skills across MIRATECH's manufacturing sites and launches MIRATECH U, the company's internal learning and culture initiative. This role requires genuine mechanical aptitude and working comfort with industrial equipment, tools, and processes; the trainer must be credible in front of engineers, technicians, and skilled trades, not purely versed in instructional design theory. This role is focused on content architecture, building curriculum, materials, and learning pathways, including technical/mechanical skills tracks, that are delivered through trained internal facilitators across HR and the business. This is a foundational role for MIRATECH's learning function, building the infrastructure, content library, and instructional standards that ensure every new hire and employee gets a consistent, high-quality training and onboarding experience regardless of site.
What You'll Do:
Training Content Development
- Design technical and functional training curricula for manufacturing, engineering, and operations roles, translating subject-matter expertise from engineers, plant leaders, and other internal experts into structured, teachable content.
- Build train-the-trainer materials and facilitator guides so that others across HR and the business can deliver content consistently and confidently.
- Develop assessments, job aids, and reference materials that support skill retention after training.
- Develop equipment-based technical training, covering mechanical systems, tooling, controls, or field/maintenance skills, that builds real proficiency on the plant floor, not just classroom or e-learning content.
- Establish and maintain a content development standard (templates, style guide, instructional design approach) so materials are consistent across sites and topics.
MIRATECH U Launch & Ownership
- Serve as the primary architect of MIRATECH U, the company's internal training and culture platform.
- Build the initial onboarding curriculum for new hires, company history, values, expectations, site-specific orientation, designed to be delivered consistently across all locations.
- Design a phased rollout plan for MIRATECH U (e.g., onboarding first, technical/skills tracks second, leadership development later).
- Partner with site HR managers and plant leadership to identify priority content gaps and build a training roadmap.
Program Infrastructure & Facilitator Enablement
- Identify and help stand up a learning management system (LMS) or content hosting solution appropriate for MIRATECH's size and multi-site structure.
- Train and support internal subject matter experts and HR team members who will deliver content, ensuring facilitation quality stays consistent across sites.
- Create tools and dashboards to empower our leaders on tracking training completion and reassign training as necessary.
- Collect feedback on content for enhancements based on real-world results.
Stakeholder Partnership
- Serve as a trusted advisor to plant leadership and department heads on training needs and skill gaps.
- Partner with HR Operations and Talent Acquisition to align onboarding content with the broader new-hire experience.
- Collaborate with all departments to support learning and development initiatives.
- Develop consistent timelines on reviewing and updating content.
Compliance and Reporting
- Ensure all training content complies with relevant safety, regulatory, and industry standards.
- Maintain accurate training records, completion tracking, and reporting dashboards.
- Generate and present training program updates and outcomes to leadership.
