Description
Litehouse is seeking an passionate and strategic Maintenance Specialist to join our team.
As Maintenance Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation and upkeep of machinery and equipment within a manufacturing setting. This role involves advanced troubleshooting, repairing, and performing preventative maintenance on a variety of mechanical systems. This role requires a strong understanding of various mechanical systems, exceptional problem-solving skills, and a commitment to ensuring a safe and well-functioning work environment. You will work collaboratively with a team of maintenance professionals to minimize downtime and optimize production processes.
What you will do
- Assists in the evaluation of maintenance procedures and initiates changes to optimize the maintenance program.
- Conduct routine inspections to identify and address potential issues before they become major problems.
- Analyze and perform advanced troubleshooting and repairs on a variety of machinery and equipment, including but not limited to, motors, conveyors, hydraulic systems, and pneumatic systems.
- Execute preventative maintenance tasks to ensure the reliability and longevity of equipment.
- Collaborate with maintenance team members to address complex issues and support larger maintenance projects. Work closely with Maintenance Manager and team members to share knowledge and improve overall maintenance processes.
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to optimize equipment performance.
- Utilize technical manuals, blueprints, and diagnostic equipment to identify and resolve complex issues.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of equipment manuals, schematics, and maintenance logs.
- Provide detailed reports on equipment performance, maintenance activities, and recommendations for improvements.
- Recommend upgrades or modifications to extend the lifespan of machinery.
- Provide guidance and training to junior maintenance staff or other relevant personnel.
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a secure working environment.
- Identify and report potential safety hazards and contribute to the development of safety procedures.
- Must be able to work scheduled shifts and meet attendance requirements.
Qualifications (Required unless otherwise specified)
- 7+ years' experience in an advanced maintenance role, with a focus on troubleshooting and repairing industrial machinery.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Vocational or technical training is a plus.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
- Know all the plant specific equipment and be able to independently resolve issues.
- Fill in for duties of Maintenance Supervisor and Maintenance Manager
- Lead and direct plant maintenance
