The Philanthropy Liaison plays a relationship-centered role in supporting Kaweah Health Foundation's major gifts program. Working closely with the Foundation Director and development team, this position identifies, cultivates, and stewards relationships with high-net-worth individuals, families, and prospective sponsors to advance major gift and campaign objectives. Serves as a warm, professional, and trusted point of contact who deepens donor engagement, secures sponsorships, and helps move qualified prospects toward meaningful philanthropic commitments in support of Kaweah Health priorities.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education
Preferred: Bachelor's degree in business, communications, nonprofit management, public relations, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.

Experience

Preferred:

Two or more years of experience in fundraising, major gifts, sponsorship development, high-end client relations, hospitality, real estate, or a comparable relationship-driven field.
Experience with donor or CRM databases (e.g., Bloomerang, Raiser's Edge, etc.).
 

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

Demonstrated success building trust and rapport with affluent individuals, executives, or community leaders.

Exceptional interpersonal, listening, and relationship-building skills with discretion and emotional intelligence.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including comfort engaging with high-net-worth constituents.
Self-directed, organized, and able to manage a portfolio and follow-up cadence independently within a part-time schedule.
Professional presence, sound judgment, and integrity in representing Kaweah Health and maintaining donor confidentiality.

Must have reliable transportation available throughout the workday for local donor visits and events.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Essential

Cultivates and maintains authentic, ongoing relationships with a portfolio of high-net-worth individuals, families, and prospective major gift donors.
Conducts personalized outreach through visits, calls, correspondence, and event engagement to build donor trust and readiness to give.
Identifies and qualifies new major gift and sponsorship prospects in coordination with the Foundation Director and development staff.
Secures event and campaign sponsorships from individuals, family foundations, and community partners in support of Foundation initiatives and signature events.
Supports the donor development and management process by advancing donors through cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship stages, documenting activity in the donor database.
Prepares briefing materials, prospect research summaries, and follow-up communications to support gift conversations led by Foundation leadership and executives.
Represents the Foundation at donor meetings, cultivation gatherings, and community and hospital events, including select evenings and weekends.
Coordinates timely, meaningful donor stewardship (acknowledgments, recognition, and impact reporting) and collaborates with Foundation, Marketing, and executive teams to align engagement with organizational priorities.
Maintains strict confidentiality of donor information, adheres to all applicable ethical fundraising standards, and performs other related duties as assigned.
 

Pay Range

$23.37 -$35.05
