Shiloh Assisted Living is seeking to hire a full-time Home Health Aide (HHA) / Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide compassionate long-term care for our elderly assisted living residents. We pay a competitive wage of $20.50 - $23.50/hour, we offer PM shift differential of $1.00, NOC differential of $2.00 and CNA differential of $1.00. A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A HOME HEALTH AIDE (HHA) / CERTIFIED NURSING ASSISTANT (CNA)

 

As a Home Health Aide (HHA) / Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), you are the heart and soul of our team. Under the direction of a licensed nurse, you get to help our senior/elderly residents stay close to home and live with independence and dignity. You do more than just provide medication reminders or assist with meals, light housekeeping, bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing, errands, and appointments. While those tasks are important, you also provide companionship and socialization, as you support them in visiting with friends, attending events, or working on hobbies.

 

You make sure that they are mentally stimulated, physically active, and well-nourished, encouraging independence and promoting family involvement as much as possible. You are meticulous about reporting any changes or concerns promptly. In this way, you provide real peace-of-mind for them and their families.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

 

• No experience necessary paid training provided.
• Ability to pass a background check.
• Reliable transportation.
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the job.

 

Experience working in a long-term care setting is favored. Can you work well independently and in a team environment? WORK SCHEDULE

 

Our Home Health Aides (HHA) / Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA) enjoy a flexible schedule. The typical schedule includes rotating every other weekend and every other holiday. The typical hours are listed below:

 

• AM shifts 7:00am-3:00pm
• PM shifts 3:00pm-11:00pm
• Overnight shifts 11:00pm-7:00am
• If you are looking to work less days per week but still be full time, we also offer. 12 Hour Shifts 7am-7pm - 7pm-7am

Job Summary:

The Home Health Aide is responsible for assisting the licensed nurse in the delivery of resident care. Under the direction of the nurse, the home health aide provides medically oriented task(s) to maintain health or to facilitate treatment of an illness or injury provided in a person's place of residence.

Job Qualifications:

Must meet and maintain State requirements of a certified home health aide.

Requires level of knowledge normally required in the course of obtaining a high school diploma.

Experience working the long-term care setting favored.

Completion of on-site orientation program will be given to obtain desired entry level competency.

Work effectively with general supervision, ability to organize and manage own work load in a busy environment. Some independent actions are required.

Knowledge of resident care plans, and state home care regulations.

Ability to communicate well with residents and families promoting customer service and respect.

Must maintain a calm and warm working environment with co-workers.

Meet the physical job demands of the position

RESIDENTS

Reports Vulnerable Adult issues to their director supervisor as necessary.

Visits with residents routinely regarding cares, activities, menus, likes and dislikes etc.

Offers resolution or a visit from the appropriate individual who may offer resolution to any dislikes or concerns and communicates those with direct supervisor.

Ensures any grievance is documented and reported to either the Assisted Living Manager or facility RN.

Incorporates customer orientated approach into daily routine.

Maintains resident's confidentiality and respect according to HIPPA and Resident Rights.
