Position Summary
The Supply Chain Coordinator supports the site's daily production, inventory, and logistics operations, reporting directly to the Supply Chain Manager. This role serves as a key point of coordination between production, warehouse, traffic/shipping, and customer care — ensuring accurate inventory records, timely fulfillment of production and transfer orders, and reliable outbound shipping. The Coordinator also provides backup support for traffic and shipping scheduling functions as needed.
Position Scope
Carnegie/Napor Food BU
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Production & Inventory Management:
Enter production orders from the previous day's 2nd shift (consume raw materials and post finished goods from the prior day).
Monitor supply care vs. perpetual inventory; update inventory levels for all raw oils in NAV weekly.
Process fill sheets for the next production day in each production bay.
Attend the 7:30 AM production meeting (mandatory).
Create and review fill sheets with the Supply Chain Manager; email to production supervisors and lab so each department knows the day's plan.
Coordinate sample orders from entry through shipment, communicating timelines to Customer Service Representatives based on material availability.
Print production orders and packer filler sheets, including tank assignments.
Create and enter transfer orders (Napor to Carnegie) based on raw material needs for upcoming production.
Enter finished production into NAV as it is completed, including packaging used.
Process warehouse receipts of inventoried items such as packaging (enter POs into NAV).
Plan re-work inventory, including use of the re-work tool for new production.
Send meeting invites for training sessions and new hire introductions.
Manage Cintas uniform orders/changes and general plant supply needs.
Follow up on and investigate inventory variances.
Traffic & Logistics:
Print next day's warehouse pick sheets to the Head Shipper, confirming product availability.
Coordinate UPS labels for samples, working with Customer Care on availability.
Process transfer orders and post for the local driver to take to Napor.
Backup / Secondary Responsibilities:
The following traffic and shipping support duties are performed as needed, typically to provide backup coverage:
Create the daily schedule for shipping / Jet Report.
Schedule LTL shipments for next-day pickup.
Obtain freight rate quotes in NAV (contract and rate categories).
Plan trailer moves for the yard with the local driver.
Post bulk shipments when the primary traffic coordinator is off.
Update the bulk schedule when new orders are placed.
Create warehouse pick, bulk loading notification, and wash ticket for assigning seals.
Scan Bills of Lading (BOLs) to Customer Care at end of day.
Education & Experience
Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree in supply chain, business, or related field preferred.
Experience: 1–2 years of experience in production support, inventory, warehouse, or logistics/traffic coordination, ideally in a manufacturing environment.
Knowledge, Skills, & Talents
Detail the specific competencies, attributes, and skills needed for success in this role. Provide a bullet-point list of desired qualities, such as technical skills, interpersonal abilities, and any unique talents relevant to the position.
Working knowledge of ERP/inventory systems (e.g., NAV/Business Central) preferred.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple daily deadlines.
Clear written and verbal communication skills for cross-department coordination (production, customer care, lab, shipping).
Ability to work early morning hours (7:30 AM production meeting) and adapt to daily production schedule changes.
Pay and Benefits
The estimated base pay range for this position is $24.00/hr – $34.00/hr. Actual pay will be determined based on education, certifications, experience, qualifications, skills and geographic location. This position is eligible to participate in a short-term incentive program.
