About the Role
Saint Joseph Hospital is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Clinical Associate (Area: Radiology) to join our Radiology team. In this role, you will support CT/Rad Technologists in delivering high-quality imaging services while ensuring a safe, patient-centered experience. This is an excellent opportunity for a radiologic technology student or recent graduate to gain hands-on clinical experience in a collaborative hospital environment.
Key Responsibilities
Assist Radiology Technologists in performing radiographic procedures under direct supervision
Support patient positioning and safely assist or hold patients during imaging procedures
Prepare exam rooms and patients prior to procedures, including fluoroscopy exams
Assist Radiologists and Technologists during imaging and interventional procedures
Transport patients to and from the Radiology department safely and efficiently
Perform general support functions, including:
Answering phones and relaying messages
Obtaining and communicating orders (including verbal orders)
Preparing images and reports upon request
Operate and demonstrate knowledge of radiographic and fluoroscopic equipment, including portable units and image viewing systems
Produce high-quality diagnostic images while adhering to ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) radiation safety principles
Maintain a safe environment for patients and staff, including proper use of positioning devices
Qualifications
Education
High school diploma or equivalent required
Must be a current second-year student or graduate of an AMA-approved Radiologic Technology program
Licensure/Certification
Current BLS/CPR certification required
Experience & Skills
Foundational knowledge of radiographic imaging and techniques
Strong analytical and organizational skills to support Radiology operations
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interact compassionately with patients and collaborate effectively with healthcare teams
