Where Ambition Meets Innovation

Build a career that matches all your initiative with an impressive dose of innovation. From cutting-edge resources and a collaborative environment to the freedom to make an impact and more, you’ll find the ingredients you need at LPL Financial to shape your success while helping clients pursue their financial goals.

Job Overview:

Are you ready to modernize a platform and be part of a team delivering creative solutions that help financial advisors serve investors? Are you passionate about uncovering new opportunities, leading new business strategies, and unlocking capabilities to accelerate growth? Are you interested in establishing the foundational technology and product needs that will prepare a business for the future? If so, this role gives you the opportunity to join a start-up-minded team driving critical initiatives within LPL Financial!

LPL Wealth Advisors Group (WealthAG), part of LPL’s Client Success group, plays a central role in serving investors through a team-based, centralized home-office model. The WealthAG business model not only helps investors work toward achieving the financial goals most important to them but also helps other advisors and institutions across LPL Financial execute on their biggest opportunities. By taking on referrals and investor relationships, WealthAG creates capacity for their businesses. We come to work each day dedicated to making an impact on the lives of our clients, advisors, and institutional partners alike.

As the AVP Product Management, you will be the bridge between vision and execution by proactively identifying ways to unlock opportunities to serve LPL advisors, institutions, and their clients. You’ll work closely with business leaders to enhance existing initiatives, identify new verticals, define product development and technology roadmaps, serve as a critical partner in platform modernization efforts, and lead efforts that enable growth now and for the future of the business. We want strong collaborators who can deliver a world-class client experience. We are looking for people who thrive in a fast-paced environment, are client-focused and team oriented, and can execute in a way that encourages creativity and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as a product leader, collaborating across WealthAG, Sales, Corporate Development, Legal, Operations, Technology, Architecture, Cybersecurity, and other key stakeholders.
  • Identify business needs and shape strategic priorities through stakeholder interviews, market research, competitive analysis, addressable market analysis, risk considerations, and voice-of-the-client insights.
  • Partner with the Product Owner to evolve a proprietary LPL tech platform that delivers client segmentation, business valuation, and advisor transition opportunities.
  • Own advisor adoption, engagement, and business outcomes for key platform capabilities.
  • Drive product strategies that increase advisor adoption by streamlining workflows and enhancing integration and visibility across LPL platforms.
  • Apply an innovative, agile approach to enhancing existing products and developing new solutions by partnering with vendors and internal stakeholders.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and AI-driven efficiencies to enhance the advisor experience.
  • Define and refine product offerings, including business cases, economic models, and operational frameworks.
  • Develop and manage product strategy, roadmaps, delivery priorities, features, and delivery plans aligned to business objectives, user needs, risk considerations, and measurable outcomes.
  • Lead strategic initiatives from concept through execution to drive business growth and service diversification to unlock new potential and sources of business.
  • Establish success metrics for products, features, and initiatives, and drive continuous improvement based on results.
  • Monitor product adoption, delivery outcomes, stakeholder feedback, and success metrics to identify improvement opportunities and inform roadmap tradeoffs.
  • Success metrics include advisor adoption rates, revenue growth, net new assets, client retention, operational efficiency gains, time-to-market, client and user experience.
  • Communicate business trends, priorities, and progress to stakeholders and leadership.
  • Maintain business playbooks and enablement materials to support partner effectiveness.
  • Drive accountability for execution through clear milestones, ownership, risk management, and leadership reporting.

What does your success look like in the first 90 days?

  • Understand the business strategy and product vision clearly enough to pitch it, carry forward current initiatives, and identify the key problems you will focus on solving over the next three to six months.
  • Become a subject matter expert on your users’ needs with respect to product as a service and continuity of the client relationship.
  • Participate in and contribute to the launch of new strategies and services to the business or greater LPL.
  • Take ownership of a roadmap and work closely with the Product Owner, leaders, business partners, managers, and stakeholders to shape it.
  • Assess our existing strategic roadmap and product portfolio, and begin structuring a backlog of new features, experiences, and business needs to unlock.
  • Set a vision for the portfolio and lay the foundation to execute against.
  • Own projects and initiatives from development through completion.

What are we looking for?
