Job Description

As a Security Officer - Overnight Construction Site Patrol in San Diego, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a financial institution location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees at a financial institution by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and documenting observations as required.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, exterior grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor, employee, and contractor activity in accordance with site-specific access-control procedures.
• Prepare accurate incident reports, daily activity logs, and other required documentation while communicating professionally with Allied Universal leadership and site personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• A guard card/license is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
