Description
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Multimedia Video Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of experience supporting corporate, broadcast, and live event environments, with extensive expertise in video systems, hybrid meeting technologies, and event production. This individual must be highly technical, customer-focused, and capable of delivering white-glove support for executive meetings, town halls, webcasts, and large-scale live events.
The successful candidate will operate independently, troubleshoot under pressure, and collaborate with production teams to ensure exceptional video experiences for both in-person and virtual audiences.
Salary
$80,000 - $100,000 annually, based on experience.
Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and maintain audio-visual equipment, including cameras, microphones, projectors, soundboards, and lighting systems.
- Ensure seamless operation during live broadcasts, events, and presentations.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and provide timely support for audio-visual systems.
- Collaborate with production teams to ensure technical requirements are met for recording and broadcasting.
- Conduct routine maintenance and repairs of audio-visual equipment.
- Daily morning check of MPR, Auditorium, and select Executive Conference Rooms. Proactively identify issues and ensure they are in working order for the day's meetings.
- Own pre-meeting AV checks for high-profile events as well as VIP and executive video meetings.
- Assist with the scheduling of AV support for high-profile events as well as VIP and executive meetings.
- Coordinate external vendor support when required.
- Communicate high-profile event issues in real time.
- Assist with day-to-day operations and set deadlines.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of and adherence to standard business practices and procedures.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Experience & Qualifications
- Minimum 5-8 years of Audio-Visual or Live Event Video experience.
- Advanced operation of video switching systems (e.g., Barco, Ross) in live event environments.
- Strong understanding of signal flow, routing, and conversion across SDI, HDMI, and IP-based video systems.
- Experience supporting hybrid events, including live streaming platforms (Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Webex) and virtual audience integration.
- Proficiency in multi-camera setups, shading, and live switching for broadcast-quality productions, basic graphics integration (lower thirds, branding overlays, data-driven visuals).
- Familiarity with LED walls and display technologies in corporate event spaces.
- Ability to troubleshoot video, playback, and streaming issues in real time under pressure.
- Familiarity with audio basics for troubleshooting sync and embedded audio issues.
- Understanding of basic networking principles for streaming and AV-over-IP workflows.
- Experience working in high-end corporate or financial environments with an emphasis on professionalism and discretion.
- Strong communication skills for coordinating with producers, presenters, show callers, and technical teams.
- Ability to read run-of-show documents.
- Familiarity with recording workflows, archiving, and post-event deliverables.
- Knowledge of color space, resolution standards, and broadcast formats.
- Certifications or formal training in broadcast, video engineering, or AV technology.
