Location: 3380 S 1000 W, South Salt Lake, UT 84119 | Schedule: Typically, Monday - Friday, 8:30 am - 5:00 pm (on-site) | Type: Full-Time | FLSA: Exempt

Utah Community Action is seeking a Homeless Services Coordinator to lead a team that makes a meaningful difference for individuals and families experiencing homelessness in Salt Lake County.
Summary/Objective:
Oversee the Homeless Services Diversion team, which provides coordinated entry services for the Salt Lake County Continuum of Care. The team delivers diversion services focused on helping clients identify safe alternatives to shelter and completing coordinated intake into the State's HMIS system. This role supports and coaches staff on best practices, monitors performance to ensure quality and compliance, and provides guidance as needed. The position works closely with community partners and participates in the Coordinated Intake process for Homeless Resource Centers (HRC), the Midvale Family Shelter, and the Weigand Center. Responsibilities include supervising, training, and evaluating staff, as well as providing direct client services when necessary. As a representative of the agency, this role is expected to deliver exceptional customer service and advocate for clients using a trauma-informed, client-centered approach

- Empathy and the ability to build trust with people from diverse backgrounds
- Excellent organization, time management, attention to detail, and accountability
- Confidence working with data, spreadsheets, HMIS, and multiple computer programs
- Experience creating and facilitating trainings or presentations
- A commitment to confidentiality, professionalism, teamwork, and continuous learning
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree
- Two years of supervisory experience
- Microsoft Office proficiency
- Driver's License

This position regularly travels along the Wasatch Front, and the employee must provide reliable transportation.
