Job Description:
The Collins Aerospace Mission System business is an industry-leading avionics provider for government and commercial customers around the world. Our expertise includes Communication, navigation, HF, aircraft sensors, fire protection and safety systems. We are currently seeking a Sr. Contracts Manager to support military and commercial customer contracts direct with the US government and with Original Equipment Manufacturers for our Government business. The candidate for this role will be responsible for directly overseeing the drafting and negotiation of firm fixed price and cost plus fixed fee agreements and provide contracts management throughout all phases of the contract lifecycle in support of US government contracts.
The successful applicant will need to be actively engaged with key stakeholders from across the business to deliver a full range of contractual solutions to achieve positive outcomes for the program, the company, our partners and our customers.
What You Will Do:
- Interfaces with key customers during contract pre-proposal, negotiation, maintenance, and closeout of agreement life cycles.
- Implements strategies to build lasting relationships with the legal department as well as internal and external customers.
- Understanding and complying with FAR/DFARS as applied to aerospace contracts.
- Play an essential role on an integrated program team on handling Request for Proposal (RFP), capture strategy, and negotiation objectives
- Advises on contractual rights and obligations to protect the organization’s legal and business interests
- Negotiates a range of complex contractual agreements and manages non-routine issues through senior functional management, referring to counsel when necessary.
- Responsible for structuring and administering contractual documents that establish business relationships with customers.
- Plans, leads and drafts complex contract negotiations, in accordance with internal and external customer schedules and requests, to ensure contract execution and fulfillment in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications.
- Manages existing contracts from cradle to grave while ensuring compliance to contract terms, and identifying and seeking adjustment for out-of-scope changes
- Utilizes legal resources and other subject matter experts to ensure all levels of risk are recognized and subsequently addressed and documented through development of unique contract terms and conditions.
- Works with Global Trade personnel to ensure compliance with all import/export regulations
- Compiles and analyzes data as well as maintains historical information to ensure ease of accessibility and retrieval of data and documents.
- Operates in accordance with company policies and complies with accepted business ethics.
- Able to travel 10% internationally/domestically
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience

The salary range for this role is 132,400 USD - 251,600 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
