Job Description
As a Security Officer Armed Access in Orangeburg, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a healthcare location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. - Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and other facility personnel while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, behavioral health situations, and other critical events in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following facility protocols.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of hospital buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor access points and assist with visitor management, access control, and the enforcement of facility policies while maintaining a professional presence.
- Prepare accurate reports and communicate observations, incidents, and security-related concerns to appropriate personnel and Allied Universal leadership.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess a valid armed guard card or license.
- Have at least six months of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
