  • Create planograms, assortment recommendations, shelving standards, and space-allocation strategies that improve navigation, product discovery, category performance, and retailer value.
  • Lead shelf resets, modular reviews, and retailer-specific projects from strategic planning through field implementation and post-execution evaluation.
  • Adapt shelf-set strategies by retailer, channel, store cluster, geography, shopper profile, and category-purchasing behavior.

2. Data Insights and Category Analytics

  • Integrate Circana, retailer point-of-sale, shopper, loyalty, household panel, internal sales, Beer Institute, and supplier category-management data to identify actionable insights.
  • Evaluate assortment productivity, item incrementality, space-to-sales relationships, distribution gaps, duplication, out-of-stocks, and emerging category trends.
  • Translate complex data into clear recommendations, dashboards, scorecards, and presentations for sales teams, commercial leadership, suppliers, and retailer partners.
  • Measure shelf-set performance and establish test-and-learn programs that support continuous improvement.

3. Cross-Functional and Customer Leadership

  • Partner with Category Management, Sales, Marketing, Consumer Insights, Commercial Strategy, Revenue Growth Management, suppliers, and retailers to develop customer-specific shelving recommendations and category reviews.
  • Balance shopper needs, category growth, retailer strategies, operational requirements, and company portfolio priorities.
  • Present shelf-set strategies and supporting insights to internal leadership and retail customers.
  • Serve as the company subject-matter expert for shelf planning, assortment analytics, space productivity, and shopper-led merchandising.

4. Team, Process, and Program Management

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of two by establishing clear responsibilities, priorities, performance expectations, and professional-development plans.
  • Manage shelf-set calendars, project timelines, analytical standards, templates, documentation, and quality-control processes.
  • Ensure shelf-set recommendations and customer materials comply with company policies, retailer requirements, applicable alcohol regulations, and trade-practice rules.
  • Improve reporting, automation, data quality, workflow efficiency, and consistency across the shelf-set process.
