Job Title: Warehouse Operative
Location: Belfast
Work Pattern: Monday to Thursday, 18:00 to 02:30 and Friday, 18:00 to 01:30 (39 hours per week)
Summary of Role
We are looking for a motivated and reliable Warehouse Operative to join our Belfast team. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately picking and assembling customer orders using handheld scanning technology, while ensuring high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency. You will play a key role in supporting warehouse operations and helping deliver excellent service to our customers.
Responsibilities
- Accurately pick and assemble customer orders using a handheld scanner.
- Ensure products are selected correctly and processed within agreed productivity targets.
- Move between warehouse stations as required to support operational needs.
- Handle stock exceptions and ensure orders are fulfilled accurately.
- Use appropriate packaging methods to prevent product damage during handling.
- Report stock errors, damaged products, or operational issues to management promptly.
- Maintain high housekeeping standards and follow all company procedures.
- Comply with all health and safety requirements and wear PPE as required.

High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience required. 2+ years of experience in warehouse support, distribution operations, shipping, receiving, inventory control, material handling, or a related field required. Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP), or equivalent certification preferred. Knowledge in fleet operations administration and transportation support processes. Knowledge in warehouse operations including receiving, storage, order preparation, shipment processing, and inventory movement. Knowledge in logistics documentation, transaction controls, and operational record maintenance. Knowledge in warehouse and transportation systems used for status updates, tracking, and transaction processing. Knowledge in loss prevention, material handling, and operational control requirements. Ability to process routine and moderately complex operational activities within established procedures. Ability to identify causes of routine operational issues, analyze basic data, and support issue resolution. Ability to maintain accurate operational records and transaction visibility across logistics workflows. Ability to communicate with internal and external contacts to obtain or provide operational information of moderate importance. Ability to support continuous improvement changes in systems and processes within defined guidelines.What Cencora offers
