Job Description

As a Security Officer - Full Time Access Coordination in BOISE, ID, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will manage entry points, verify credentials, assist visitors, and support badge-related activities while delivering outstanding customer service. You will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and communicate professionally with employees and guests. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and/or vendors at a technology, media, and telecommunications-related construction location by carrying out site-specific access control procedures and policies.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and authorization, issue visitor badges, and maintain accurate access-related logs and records.
• Screen visitors, contractors, deliveries, and/or vehicles in accordance with established procedures; communicate access concerns to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site-specific emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, construction areas, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security license is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
