The Opportunity
At AFS, Cyber Analysts support federal agencies by strengthening cybersecurity posture, evaluating risks, and helping implement secure, compliant, mission‑aligned solutions. In this role, analysts apply structured problem‑solving, foundational cyber principles, and modern security tools to protect sensitive information and support agency operations. Cyber is the intersection of emerging technology and security – continuous and current research and curiosity about evolving technology and respective vulnerabilities is essential to success in this field.
What You’ll Do
- Support cybersecurity assessments aligned to federal frameworks such as NIST 800‑series, FISMA, and OMB guidance
- Conduct vulnerability scanning, analysis, and POA&M updates using industry tools and AI-enabled GRC platforms Assist in drafting and maintaining cybersecurity documentation (SSPs, SOPs, policies, baselines)
- Analyze threats, risks, and system weaknesses to inform remediation activities
- Participate in stakeholder engagement, communications, and change‑management efforts supporting cyber initiatives
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in STEM or adjacent field, such as Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, Engineering (Systems, Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical), with graduation by August 31, 2027.
- Strong academic track record (3.2+ cumulative GPA) from a 4-year accredited institution.
- U.S. citizenship required (due to federal contract requirements)
- Ability to travel 25-50% preferred, but requirements vary by team and location.
Preferred Qualifications
- Foundational understanding of cybersecurity concepts (e.g., threats and security frameworks); strong networking fundamentals and deep understanding of how operating systems work
- Technical aptitude with interest in learning cyber tools, security automation, and emerging technologies
- Clear communicator who can translate technical details into business‑friendly language
- Familiarity with using AI tools to research and solve business and technology challenges

As required by local law, Accenture Federal Services provides reasonable ranges of compensation for hired roles based on labor costs in the states of California, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, and the District of Columbia, and the city of Cleveland. The base pay range for this position in these locations is shown below. Compensation for roles at Accenture Federal Services varies depending on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to office location, role, skill set, and level of experience.
