Job Description/Preferred Qualifications
Software Algorithm Engineer
Responsibilities:
1. Research, develop, and enhance advanced algorithms in image/signal processing, geometry pattern handling, high performance computing, and machine learning algorithms for defect inspection and critical dimension metrology. Responsibilities include: define problem statements, research on academic papers, propose solutions based on existing algorithms/investigations, prototype ideas (independently or collaboratively), evaluating feasibility and performance, and designing product-level approaches.
2. Develop software using C++ on Linux, including design, implementation, integration with product software, and unit testing.
3. Big data analysis, design software architecture and data mining.
4. Co-work with global teams to identify, analyze, and solve problems, and validate solutions.
5. Follow KLA software development process, including writing design and development documents in English
6. Travel globally (US, Korea, Taiwan, etc.) for short term customer support and training
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Master’s or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or related technical fields.
2. Solid Background in at least one of the following areas: image processing, signal processing, computer vision, pattern recognition, computational geometry, data analysis, high-performance computing and machine learning
3. Experience with C/C++/Python coding
4. Skilled in algorithm design, software development and debugging
5. Capable of independently identifying, analyzing, and solving problems.
6. Passionate about algorithms, eager to learn new technologies. A solid foundation in mathematics and logic is a plus
7. Fluent in English, with excellent communication and teamwork skills
8. Ability to travel globally
9. Knowledge of optics and semiconductor process is a plus

6.可接受短期国际出差(如美国、韩国、台湾等),进行客户支持与培训。
任职要求:
1.计算机科学、计算机工程、电气工程、数学、物理或相关技术领域的硕士或博士学历。
2.在以下至少一个领域具有扎实背景:图像处理、信号处理、计算机视觉、模式识别、计算几何、数据分析、高性能计算或机器学习。
3.熟练掌握 C/C++ 和 Python 编程语言。
4.具备优秀的算法设计、软件开发与调试能力。
5.能够独立识别、分析并解决复杂问题。
6.对算法充满热情,乐于学习新技术,具备扎实的数学与逻辑基础者优先。
7.英语流利,具备良好的沟通能力与团队合作精神。
8.可以去国外出差参加培训和技术支持
9.具备光学或半导体工艺相关知识者优先。

Doctorate (Academic) Degree and 0 years related work experience; Master's Level Degree and related work experience of 3 years; Bachelor's Level Degree and related work experience of 5 years
