JOB SUMMARY
The Rental & Demo Supervisor is responsible for leading the daily operations of Crystal Mountain’s Rental and Demo business, including oversight of a team of up to 30 employees and close coordination with Ski Storage and Tune & Repair operations. This position plays a key leadership role in delivering an efficient, welcoming, and high-quality guest experience while driving operational performance, revenue, and team development. The Supervisor must have strong operational and business acumen, with the ability to evaluate daily business needs, make staffing and operational decisions, prioritize workload, and use key performance metrics to improve results. This position is responsible for maintaining efficient guest flow, minimizing wait times, maximizing equipment utilization, and ensuring the department operates at a consistently high standard.
This is a seasonal position; though there are opportunities to transition into other resort operations during summer operations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Lead, supervise, and support Rental & Demo employees during daily operations, providing clear direction and maintaining accountability for performance and guest service standards.
Assign and deploy employees based on business volume, operational needs, employee strengths, and guest flow to maximize productivity and minimize guest wait times.
Create a positive, inclusive, energetic, and team-focused work environment that encourages employee engagement and delivers a memorable guest experience.
Provide ongoing coaching, training, recognition, and performance feedback to employees and address performance or conduct concerns in accordance with company policies.
Identify and resolve employee concerns and operational challenges in a timely and professional manner, escalating issues when appropriate.
Support employee onboarding and ongoing training to ensure team members are knowledgeable and confident across their assigned areas of the operation.
Manage employee timekeeping and payroll processes accurately while monitoring labor expenses and adjusting staffing based on business demand.
Lead by example and maintain a visible presence throughout the operation, particularly during high-volume periods.
Complete and oversee daily opening and closing procedures, ensuring the facility is clean, organized, properly stocked, secure, and prepared for operation.
Coordinate with Tune & Repair and Ski Storage operations to maintain efficient workflow, equipment readiness, and consistent guest service across departments.
Respond quickly to changing business conditions, including high guest volume, equipment shortages, staffing challenges, weather impacts, and other operational needs.
Maintain and reinforce a culture of exceptional guest service, ensuring employees provide friendly, knowledgeable, efficient, and solution-oriented assistance.
Actively monitor guest flow and wait times and make real-time staffing or process adjustments to improve throughput and the overall rental experience.
Handle escalated guest concerns professionally and work toward appropriate resolutions while supporting both the guest and the employee.
Support other Rental, Demo, Tune & Repair, Ski Storage, Retail, or resort operations as business needs require.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
High School diploma or GED
Minimum 2 years of management and/or supervisory experience in a high volume rental shop
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
Must be able to ski or walk to all locations
Computer proficiency in sysmanager and Microsoft programs
Must be able to stand for entire shift
Must be able to speak English, and enunciate clearly
Must speak/hear clearly over telephone
Accustomed to constant customer and staff contact
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS
This position is required to work evenings, weekends and holidays while in operation, both indoors and outdoors
Able to lift, carry, or otherwise move and position a minimum of 50 pounds on an occasional basis
Manual dexterity to operate a computer and other common office equipment on a constant basis
Some basic mechanical and cash handling experience is desirable
Ability to work for extended periods of time standing, bending, reaching, and speaking on a constant basis
A positive attitude with strong guest services and communication skills a must
