Description
Overview
As a Senior .Net Engineer, you will be an active member of a self-driving delivery team, working closely with IAM engineers, business analysts, and architects to design solutions that are secure, resilient, and easy to operate — with the aim that identity processes can be delivered as simply as "a click of a button." You will take ownership of the technical quality of your work, from design through to deployment and support, and help raise engineering standards across the team.

About ProjectJoin an established identity transformation programme focused on standardising identity governance and access management across a large international organisation. Following the adoption of Microsoft Entra ID Governance, the programme is delivering new regional work packages to streamline access processes, strengthen governance controls, and create a scalable identity foundation supporting more than 34,000 identities. The Senior .NET Engineer is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining the custom integrations, automation, and services that extend Microsoft Entra ID Governance capabilities, connecting identity processes to downstream systems and enabling scalable, automated access provisioning across the programme.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain custom connectors, integrations, and automation services around Microsoft Entra ID Governance using C#/.NET, hosted on the client's AWS environment.
- Build and support APIs, AWS Lambda functions, and background services that integrate identity processes with internal and external systems.
- Translate business and technical requirements from Business Analysts and IAM engineers into robust, well-tested software solutions.
- Work with Microsoft Graph API to automate access provisioning, entitlement management, and lifecycle processes within Entra ID Governance, bridging identity data with AWS-hosted services.
- Contribute to solution architecture and technical design decisions for new regional work packages, ensuring solutions fit cleanly into the client's AWS-based infrastructure.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code, and participate actively in code reviews.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines (e.g., AWS CodePipeline, GitHub Actions, or similar) to support reliable, repeatable deployments.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across integrations and services, including production incidents.
- Ensure solutions meet security, compliance, and audit requirements relevant to identity and access management.
- Mentor and support less experienced engineers, and promote engineering best practices across the team.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional software development experience with C# and .NET (.NET Core/.NET 6+).
- Strong experience building and consuming REST APIs and integrating with third-party or cloud services.
- Hands-on experience with AWS, including services such as Lambda, API Gateway, Step Functions, and related serverless/PaaS offerings.
- Experience integrating with Microsoft Graph API or other Microsoft 365/Entra ID services from a non-Azure environment is highly desirable.
- Solid understanding of software design principles, design patterns, and writing testable, maintainable code.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control (e.g., Git, AWS CodePipeline, GitHub Actions).
- Solid understanding of Agile/Lean software delivery methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently on complex technical challenges.
- Good communication skills, able to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders across regions.
- Advanced written and spoken English.
Nice to have:
- Prior experience with Microsoft Entra ID Governance, Entra ID (Azure AD), or other IAM/IGA platforms (e.g., SailPoint, Saviynt).
- Experience with identity governance concepts: access provisioning, entitlement management, access reviews, and lifecycle management.
- AWS certification(s) (e.g., AWS Certified Developer, Solutions Architect).
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform, AWS CDK, CloudFormation).
- Experience with PowerShell or Python scripting for automation of IAM/IGA processes.
- Knowledge of security best practices for cloud-based identity solutions and cross-cloud integrations.
- Experience working on large-scale, multi-region transformation programmes.
