Through stakeholder engagement, governance, and execution support, COO CSM accelerates transformation, innovation, and operational excellence for DWS.
COO CSM is a core pillar of DWS' target operating model, bringing together business, product, engineering and enabling functions to accelerate the path from opportunity identification to scalable business outcomes.

The role sits at the intersection of business, technology and governance, ensuring that AI opportunities are translated into scalable products, measurable business value and sustainable operating model improvements.
As part of the CSM team, the successful candidate will drive AI adoption across the CAO division and beyond, define priorities, and champion the responsible use of AI while balancing innovation, regulatory requirements and business impact. The role creates alignment across senior stakeholders, technology teams and control functions to accelerate delivery and unlock the full value of AI for DWS.
Your Key Responsibilities
AI Product Management, Enablement & Value Realization for CAO
- Identify, define, and drive scalable AI-enabled solutions across CAO functions by translating business needs, regulatory requirements, and operational opportunities into decision support, workflow automation, knowledge management, and employee experience enhancements.
- Co-Own the CAO AI portfolio, identifying, prioritizing and advancing high-value AI opportunities across Compliance, Legal, Human Resources, Corporate Governance, Client & Investment Monitoring and COO for CAO.
- Implement the AI strategy together with CAO Co-Lead, translating business opportunities into scalable AI-enabled solutions that deliver measurable business outcomes across DWS and improve operating model effectiveness.
Governance, Risk & Responsible AI
- Establish and help to accelerate governance frameworks, operating models and decision-making processes for AI-enabled products and capabilities across CAO.
- Advise product teams to ensure AI products are designed with privacy, transparency, explainability and regulatory compliance at their core, particularly where solutions leverage employee, operational or control-related data.
- Balance innovation, speed-to-market and business impact with DWS' governance, compliance and risk management standards.
Leadership, Stakeholder Engagement & Delivery
- Act as the strategic counterpart to CAO leadership and the primary interface between Customer Success Management and the CAO organization.
- Shape AI investment, prioritization and delivery decisions across business, technology and control functions in the sphere of CAO.
- Build trusted relationships across Compliance, Legal, HR, Corporate Governance, Client & Investment Monitoring, Technology and Operations.
- Lead cross-functional delivery of AI and digital products initiatives, resolving dependencies, managing trade-offs and ensuring organizational alignment.
- Drive organizational adoption within CAO and beyond, change management and stakeholder engagement to maximize business impact and value realization.
- Foster a culture of innovation, experimentation, customer centricity and continuous improvement.
Your Skills & Experience
- Significant experience in AI Product Management, Digital Transformation, Product Strategy, Technology Delivery or related leadership roles within Asset Management, Financial Services or other regulated industries.
- Proven track record of identifying business opportunities and translating complex business challenges into scalable AI-enabled products, workflows and operating models, especially in highly sensitive and regulated environments.
- Strong understanding of Generative AI, Agentic AI, workflow automation, AI platforms and practical enterprise AI adoption, complemented by expertise in product management disciplines, state-of-the-art delivery methodologies and modern software development practices.
- Demonstrated experience owning products or strategic initiatives across the full lifecycle from discovery and business case development through implementation, adoption and value realization, especially within the CAO functions (e.g., HR, Legal, Governance).
- Exceptional stakeholder management, communication and storytelling skills, with a proven ability to influence business, technology, risk and control stakeholders and engage effectively in executive and governance forums.
- Experience operating at the intersection of business, technology, data, governance and operations, with a strong understanding of risk, compliance and control frameworks in regulated environments and the ability to translate requirements across diverse stakeholder groups.
- Ability to define success metrics, value realization frameworks and data-driven decision-making approaches for AI and digital initiatives.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, including the ability to structure ambiguity and drive strategic decisions with limited information.
- Experience driving organizational change, user adoption and capability building for digital products, data products and AI-enabled solutions.
